"Superbloom is music from just below the surface. Superbloom is a place, a period of time, a way of thinking. It's about the incubation, the cycles from which new life can be born, the temporariness of all things and the beauty of finding oneself paralleled with a season. Its about the wildflower seeds waiting in the topsoil for enough attention from the elements to bring them forth.

These 5 songs were written by Sophie Lev over the last two years, yet came into being during the time of the Superbloom in collaboration with bass player Ethan Pezzolo and Emma Haas. They embody this incubation/release, and tell stories of reconciling with grief, change, and revering in the emergence of new life and self in the wake of loss."
