EMPIRE GRADE: Empire Grade is a four-piece rock band from Santa Cruz, CA.  Blending different eras and genres of rock together, Empire Grade's style is both reminiscent and fresh.  The group originated with rhythm section William Crick (drums) and Neville Gruhler (bass).  They met guitarist and pianist Nick Sax, set up a jam, and had instant musical chemistry.  The three musicians immediately set about arranging and writing songs, and playing shows across the Santa Cruz area.  The band played as a three-piece until meeting vocalist Charlie Vail.  Charlie's first session with the band made one thing apparent: Vail was here to stay.  The band has since played numerous shows at multiple venues across the UCSC college scene, DIY venues, organized a SoCal tour, and played the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill on Hollywood's Sunset Strip.  Find their singles "Get out of the Way" and "Power Trippin" on all music platforms.
